01Who we are

The Academy Method (“we”, “us”) is an online soccer development program for players aged 12–18. It is run by Viktor Grbić, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

If you have any question about your data, email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, usually much faster.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the program:

• Your account: email address, password (stored encrypted by our login provider, we never see it), whether a player or a parent created the account, and the player’s first name, age and position.
• Your training: the days you tap “I trained today”, so we can show your streak.
• Your purchase: your email, order number, amount and whether the order is paid or refunded. Card details go straight to our checkout provider. We never see or store them.
• The free challenge: your first name and email.
• Messages you send us: your name, email and message.
• Basic technical data: our hosting provider keeps short-term logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure.

03How we use it

• To create your account and show your profile and streak.
• To unlock the program after you buy, and to close access if a refund is issued.
• To send the free challenge emails and program updates you signed up for.
• To answer your messages and help with your account.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

We never sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

04Cookies and browser storage

We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers on this site. We use:

• Login storage: your browser keeps you logged in using local storage. Logging out clears it.
• Your theme choice (dark or light), saved in your browser.
• Partner referral cookie: if you arrive through a partner’s link, our checkout provider stores a cookie for up to 30 days so the right partner gets credit. It doesn’t change your price.
• Checkout cookies: our checkout provider may set its own cookies when you pay.

If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy first.

05Who helps us run the program

We use a few trusted providers. Each one only uses your data to provide its service to us:

• Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payment, tax and our partner program. It is the seller of record for your order and has its own privacy policy.
• Supabase stores accounts, profiles and training days (servers in the United States).
• Cloudflare hosts the website.
• MailerLite sends our emails.
• Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to our inbox.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

06Players under 13

The program is built for players aged 12–18. A player under 13 cannot create their own account. A parent or guardian must create it, using the parent’s email address. The same goes for the free challenge: a parent signs up with their own email.

For younger players we only keep the minimum: the player’s first name, age and position, and their training days. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent’s consent. If we find out we have, we delete it.

Parents can see, change or delete their child’s information at any time in the account, or by emailing [email protected].

07Your choices and rights

• See and edit your profile anytime in My account.
• Delete your account with the “Delete account” button. This removes your account, profile and training history.
• Unsubscribe from emails with the link at the bottom of every email.

Depending on where you live (for example California and other US states, the EU or the UK), you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, move it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.

For users in the EU and UK: we process data to provide the program you signed up for or bought (contract), to send marketing emails you asked for (consent, which you can withdraw anytime), to keep the site secure (legitimate interests), and to meet legal duties (legal obligation). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

08How long we keep it

• Account, profile and training days: until you delete your account.
• Purchase records: as long as needed for tax, accounting and refunds.
• Email list: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact messages: as long as needed to help you, and no longer than 24 months.

09Where your data is stored

We are based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and our providers store data mainly in the United States and the EU. When data moves between countries, our providers protect it with recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

10Security

All connections to the site are encrypted. Each account can only read its own data, and only our payment system can unlock the program. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

11Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will also let you know by email or on the site.
